14 kWp with fourteen power optimisers, running since March 2025. In just seventeen months it has generated 27,152 kWh, at a rate of 19,166 kWh a year: the second highest annual generation in our portfolio.
The roof has the pattern of shade typical of the area, with features covering part of the modules at different times of day. That is where optimisers make the difference between a correct installation and one that really performs.
No battery, and that was deliberate
No storage was installed here. When a good part of the consumption happens during the day, direct self-consumption already covers most of the spend and a battery stretches out the payback without adding as much. Always recommending one would be easier for us, but it would not be honest.

That rate amounts to around €4,792 a year that is no longer paid to the supplier. It is a measured figure, not an estimate: it comes from the system's own generation history.
What this case teaches
That a shaded roof is not a reason not to install, but a reason to install properly. The difference between solving it and ignoring it shows up in the generation every day of the year.
The conclusion
A shaded roof with no battery can still be the second most productive installation in our whole portfolio. There is no trick to it: there is a design built on real consumption and components placed exactly where they add something. That is how we approach every project.
